Lexis Arcana stores your preferences, favorites, and glimpse counts locally in your
browser using browser.storage.sync.
This data syncs across your devices through your browser account (Chrome Sync or Firefox Sync)
and is never sent to any third-party server.
The Playfair Display typeface is bundled with the extension and this website, so neither loads fonts from an outside server. The extension makes no external network requests for display purposes.
This website (lexisarcana.com) uses PostHog to understand how visitors interact with the marketing site. It records pages visited, referral source, and browser and device type. On the landing, welcome and farewell pages only, PostHog can also record a session replay, but only after you click OK on the consent card that appears there. If you click No thanks, or ignore the card, nothing is recorded as a replay. Your choice is remembered in this browser, for all of those pages, until you withdraw it with the button below. The root reference pages are never recorded. All form fields are masked in replays, so anything you type (including the email signup field) is not captured. If you arrive on the welcome or farewell page after installing or removing the extension, we also record which version you had and roughly how many days you used it. The exact install timestamp is read only to compute that duration, then dropped from the page URL before analytics load, so it is not stored on the recorded page URL.
If you submit the farewell survey or the Send feedback form, we receive what you typed (the reason, comments, and an optional email if you leave one) plus a few technical fields — product, version, browser, locale — at our feedback inbox so we can read it and reply. Nothing is sent until you submit the form. The extension itself never posts this; it only opens the hosted form.
These services run on this website only — the extension itself includes no analytics of any kind. They set cookies to recognise a returning visitor, process data in the United States, and can be blocked with your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker. See PostHog's privacy policy.
